nachhall

Nachhall is the second sculpture in my series exploring seven universal principles, focusing on the law of cause and effect. The form is inspired by baptismal fonts, drawn to the idea of water as a carrier of meaning. A dripping mechanism releases single drops at regular intervals, while a spotlight projects the resulting ripples as caustics onto the wall. Our lives today are the effect of a long chain of causes stretching back through generations. Every experience creates ripples that extend far into the future, affecting our own lives and others in ways we may never know. The sculpture's form features root-like veins branching across its surface, mirroring the fractal way of growth in nature, seen in trees, veins, dried of river beds,... the list could go on. shown as part of our Diploma graduation show: in guter Gesellschaft, at Wilhelmhallen, July 2025
