cadavre erigé

The ceramic sculpture Cadavre Érigé is a collaborative piece by Leevke Succow and Mathilda Augart, born out of a playful yet serious dialogue about relationship and artistic collaboration. Inspired by the surrealist drawing game "Cadavre Exquis" the two artists independently shaped three ceramic elements of a columnar structure.

Only in the final assembly does the connection of these individual parts reveal itself as a new, unexpected whole - a fragmented, yet coherent unity.
